Snack Away: Granola Grain Bars

Morning Brainiacs.. easiest way to power up is with some homemade granola bars made with organic peanut butter (or almond butter), agave, and dates. Meow. I mean you don't HAVEEEE to add the chocolate, but personally my body rejects anything bizarrely healthy.


  • 1 cup packed dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup agave
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter, warm
  • 1 3/4 cups quick oats, toasted for color in toaster oven
  • handful almonds (not salted), roughly chopped
  • handful banana chips, roughly chopped
  • handful chocolate chunks

How To

  1. Put oats, almonds and dates together in a bowl
  2. Add agave and peanut butter to bowl after warming them up together in micro for 10 secs
  3. Stir, add additional goodies
  4. Put mixture in a square dish, lined with parchment paper, and press down
  5. Cover and put in fridge for an hour. Cut then keep in freezer
