While sitting on the plane back from Singapore (I absolutely detest flying), I made a list of things I would like to accomplish before starting my new job in September. Spinning daily and learning Arabic assumed the top two places on the list (where they have been for years)..starting a new cooking blog was the third.
In Singapore, my tummy was spoiled for choice when it came to eating out. I ate curry puffs, dined at dim sum buffets, and drank cocktails to my heart's content. However, with groceries at a premium, I didn't really challenge myself in the kitchen. Family style pastas dominated our dinner table with the big guns only coming out on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I calculated carefully and being at home with some time and a tiny bit of cash would allow me to try and recreate some of the most memorable dishes I have had throughout my travels... so here I am. The goal is to add recipes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays (hopefully). If you have any suggestions or requests, please feel free to email me. Looking forward to cooking with you!
